To submit a Clean Peak Standard (CPS) application you will need to complete a Statement of Qualification Application (SQA):
- Click on SQA APPLICATION in the navigation menu.
- Click the NEW CPS APPLICATION
- The Clean Peak Standard Application dialog will open.
- Enter an application name where it says: Enter application name.
- Click the ADD NEW RESOURCE button to add a resource (systems) to the application.
- Click on Continue > for the resource type you wish to add. Once selected, you will be shown a grid of matching system types. Resource types include:
- Existing Class I or Class II - Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) system installed before 01/01/2019 and paired with a new, qualified energy storage system.
- New Class I - Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) system installed on or after 01/01/2019.
- Qualified Energy Storage System - Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) system that primarily stores and discharges renewable energy.
- DR Demand Response - Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) system that creates a reduction in demand and consumption.
- Click on the system you wish to add as a resource to the application. You will be able to select a system from a list of your systems or you can Locate Another System if you know the exact information of that system to complete the search. If you choose a system using this method you will be asked to attest to your rights to add the system to your application.
- Once selected you will need to confirm each section of the system information for accuracy and completeness.
- In the System Information section enter the NEPOOL GIS ID and verify the system information is correct by clicking the correct Yes or No
- In the Equipment section verify the equipment information is correct by clicking the correct Yes or No
- In the Contacts section verify the contact information is correct by clicking the correct Yes or No option for each contact. If you select No, you can then specify the contact information for the specific contact. If you select No for the Reporter contact you will be prompted to select a DAS certified organization in the Select the DAS Organization drop down list. Once selected you will need to select a user from that organization in the Select the DAS User drop down list.
- In the Multipliers section verify the Resilience Multiplier and Distribution Circuit Multiplier
- When fully reviewed click the FINISH button to return to the main CPS application details page.
- As you add resources (systems) to the application, documentation requirements will be noticed in the right-hand column. You must upload documents to satisfy all the documentation requirements.
- Click UPLOAD DOCUMENT(S)
- Drag and drop documents for upload to the upload area or click the browse link to browse your local file system and select the document(s) to be uploaded.
- Identify the document type of the document(s) to be uploaded.
- Click UPLOAD FILE(S) NOW
- Click CLOSE
- To satisfy the Documentation Requirements click the requirement in the grid and select a document from the Select file to assign drop-down list. Then click ASSIGN TO SLECTED DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENT(S).
- When everything is complete click the SUBMIT
Note:
- You can assign one document to one or many documentation requirements.
- As you assign documents to the Documentation Requirements the noted requirements will clear from the right-hand panel.
- You can add notes to the Communications Log to support your application.
